These are indicators of intelligence Focus and flexibility. Jagex has neither. It's inflexible about the way it is rushing updates through and its attention is on dollars not people. Jagex's communications are the root of the problem. In the end, the Runescape forum is at the heart of the issue. Forums are the place where Jagex as well as players are able to meet and get Runescape going again.
Jagex might think that Runescape will be able to survive if it adapts to the other MMOs. An interesting variation on adapt or die. The truth is that Jmods have a limited choice in terms of who and how they can communicate with. It's not an issue of the duration of their time. They are able to speak to a small amount of people per day. Most Jmods will talk to only a handful of players, if they even have any. These relationships will have been built over time and be "Yes!" groups to follow the Jmod's lead. With Fmods (some disguised Jmods) dispersing any discontent on forums.
